The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has recently issued a warning to Hajj pilgrims about the potential risks of dealing with unauthorized Hajj operators and fraudulent websites. The ministry is urging pilgrims to use officially approved channels for their pilgrimage plans.

The ministry’s warning is aimed at ensuring that the rights of the pilgrims are protected and that they are provided with a genuine opportunity to perform Hajj. This information was shared on their “X” platform account, where they highlighted their official website, LOCALHAJ.HAJ.GOV.SA, and the “Nesk” app as the primary approved platforms for arranging Hajj.

The “Nusk-Hajj” platform is designed to cater to pilgrims from Europe, the Americas, Australia, and select Asian and African countries. It also serves official Hajj missions and companies1. This warning comes in the wake of the ministry’s announcement last week, which detailed specific health requirements for this year’s Hajj pilgrims1.

According to the Ministry, all pilgrims within the Kingdom must have the following vaccinations recorded in the “Sehaty” application: one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, one dose of the influenza vaccine for 2024, and one dose of the meningitis vaccine administered within the last five years. For international pilgrims, the ministry mandates the Neisseria meningitis vaccine, with administration occurring no less than 10 days and no more than five years before arriving in Saudi Arabia.

The timing of the vaccination must be confirmed by the pilgrim’s home country health authorities, noting the vaccine type and date on the vaccination certificate. Additionally, all pilgrims are required to receive at least one dose of either bivalent oral polio vaccine or inactivated polio vaccine.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah continues to urge pilgrims to use officially approved channels to arrange their pilgrimage plans, ensuring a safe and fulfilling Hajj experience.
